Research reveals Intermittent fasting is safe, beneficial for Type 2 diabetics

Researchers at the University of Illinois, Chicago have found that intermittent fasting, or time-restricted eating, can help individuals with Type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels and lose weight. Participants who ate within an eight-hour window each day lost more weight than those who reduced their calorie intake. Both groups had similar reductions in blood sugar levels. The study suggests that time-restricted eating could be an effective alternative to traditional calorie-reducing diets for individuals with diabetes.
